NEST is a participatory installation that displays the faces of inquisitive visitors as they peek inside an unusual nest. Live CCTV footage is carefully monitored by the surveillance team in the restaurant nearby.
As individuals, we take an active role in the surveillance of other living things with mobile phones, wildlife trackers, and nest box cams. NEST considers how far technology has become part of our human nature. This artwork is dedicated to the bird that wove material from our Camo sculpture into her nest during the 2019 Örö Residency Summer show.
